H is for Henna Night, a women-only party that takes place the night before a wedding. The bride-to-be wears a beautiful dress and red veil. Her closest friends and family gather to eat, sing and dance. They put henna on their hands, and the stain stays there for weeks afterwards. For the bride it is a very emotional evening, because it is her last night living at her parents’ house.
